How To Stop Comparing Yourself to Others.


Recently with everything going on in the world people have been far more active on social media platforms about what they are currently doing. This is lovely in the sense that you can keep in touch with everyone more easily and it is amazing to see your loved ones being doing well right now. However, it can get a bit overwhelming to see so many people doing such amazing activities and having new opportunities especially when you feel like you are not doing enough. I made a list of things to do when you are feeling down about not doing as much as others and to help you stop comparing yourself to them in general. 

1. Remember what is for you is for you!
When you see someone get an amazing promotion or going to an amazing school remember what your dream is. More likely than not it is not even in the same industry and if it is then that particular opportunity wasn't meant for you so be happy for them and work for the next opportunity that will be yours. 

2. Always show gratitude.
It costs nothing to look around at the opportunities you have and the things that bring you joy. This can be as little as a lucky sweater or remembering a vacation that you took earlier. Just remember that feeling you had and know that it will come back.  

3. Be open to being humble. 
This is very important because sometimes you need to feel a little spark of competition to keep you inspired or make you want to work harder. Be open to learning from that person who is doing so well because they are doing something right and you should focus on becoming your best self.
