How I Deal With Quarantine
These are super hard times and I know everyone is going through really hard situations so no one should feel pressured to start a side hustle or learn 10 new skills right now. It's okay to focus on surviving, what ever that may mean for you. I just wanted to post what I have been doing just in case that might help someone who is trying to change their schedule right now.
I have been trying to wake up anywhere from 8 to 9 AM depending on when I went to bed. It would probably be better to have a set time but it's more important make sure you are getting at least 6 hours of sleep a night to support your immune system health. At the beginning of quarantine I would try to read for 30 minutes a day which I honestly should try to start doing again. I do try to check my social media for about 15 minutes, get up, stretch, make breakfast then sit at my desk to start the day. I have never been able to do homework in bed so even when I didn't have a desk I would work at my dinner table or coffee table. So I would definitely recommend sitting somewhere away from where you sleep to start your school assignments or work.
The rest of the day consists of my desperately trying to complete all of my assignments while being sidetracked with the internet. I'm saying this because I see so many people complete their homework in no time and I had to remind myself that it's okay to be distracted in your own house as long as everything gets done on time. At 5 or 6 I try to do some kind of work out to make up for my lack of movement throughout the day I have really began to enjoy yoga and at home circuits.
For the end of the day I try to make dinner when I run out of meal prepped food. Honestly, I'll write a blog on all the new recipes that I have made. I can genuinely say I was never that into cooking before this but now I want to be able to cook all the food that I used to eat at restaurants in my house to save money and because I can't go. For the rest of the night I just finish my homework and watch Youtube videos then try to be asleep by 12 or 1 AM.
